THE CLUB IS CHANGING

As from January 1st 2010, we are not only moving to a larger Clubhouse, but we are changing our main evening meetings to Mondays. We are moving due to our increasing Membership (currently at 58 members).

The new Clubroom will be at the Corn Market Hall in Kettering. The Corn Market Hall offers more modern facilities within the central area of Kettering, a larger meeting room, a huge free parking area outside the building as well as disabled access and parking.

All the regular activities will remain as well as a first class Programme of Events for 2010 that will appeal to all photographers - from the Novice to the more experienced.

Membership is now open to new Members for the balance of 2009 (Tuesdays at Warkton Village Hall) and into 2010 (Mondays at the Corn Market Hall) - so come along as a visitor for a couple of weeks before joining to see what we can offer you.

We have a membership of friendly and helpful people that enjoy all aspects of film and digital photography.

Membership consists of men and women, young and old, with a variance of experience in photography, all willing to teach and learn from each other.

We also have members that do not necessarily wish to get involved with actually taking & showing photographs themselves, they join us on a social evening basis just to watch the slide shows and lectures and chat to new friends over a cup of tea or coffee.

We try to offer everything to all those interested in Photography.

We have regular slide & digital shows & lectures on a wide variety of interesting subjects, as well as club outings for Social events with a chance to photograph new subjects. All these events are shown within the 'Events Programme' pages.

To stimulate interest and participation, there are regular Club League Competitions where members can, only if they wish, enter their Slides, Digital Images or Prints to be judged by distinguished guests. There are also specific sponsored Trophies to be won throughout the year.

With the increase of interest in Digital photography, we also have Workshop and Practical evenings on subjects requested by the members.

We meet every Tuesday evening between 8pm and 10pm from the beginning of January to the end of December with a Summer Break in July & August. We do have specific outdoor meets during the Summer break.

We also have Workshop meetings on other evenings where either photographic editing tutorials or live shoots are held.

Visitors and New Members are always welcome. We now have a larger Clubhouse, so membership numbers can now be increased.

The meetings are currently held every Tuesday evening (not July & August) at:

Warkton Village Hall, Warkton Road, Warkton, Kettering, Northants NN16 9XJ  but from January 1st 2001 we move to Monday evenings at the Corn Market Hall in Kettering.

The evenings begin at 7.45 for an 8pm start, but others do come earlier to chat with fellow members. The Clubhouse is normally open from 7pm onwards.

Free Parking and Disabled access are available at the Venue

Visitors: £2.50 entry (inc refreshments).

Full membership: £30 per year plus a reduced entrance fee.
